Practicum Field Agencies Amethyst House - Addictions treatment agency offering therapeutic recovery in residential halfway and ¾-way houses as well as out-patient group and individual counseling.
Area 10 Agency on Aging - Older adult serving agency that provides information and referral, in-house senior activities, housing, and a home-based case management program to assist frail seniors in remaining in their homes.
Bell Trace - An older adult continuum-of-care community offering a wide range of supportive living arrangements including a skilled medical and rehab facility and Alzheimer’s care unit.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters - Agency providing numerous mentoring options for children and youth who need additional peer or adult support in their life, a prevention program.
Boys and Girls Club - After-school and summer opportunities for children and youth emphasizing recreation and group activities. Additional club activities are offered in a public housing neighborhood where options for after-school activities are limited.
Center for Behavioral Health - Community mental health center and network serving children and adults with mental health challenges ranging from situational to persistent mental illness. Emergency, out-patient, group, community-based, and group home settings provide appropriate mental health services.
Family Solutions - Family preservation agency providing home-based services to children and families at risk or when child abuse and neglect has occurred. Services are provided to children, biological families, and foster parents in coordination with other agencies and the court system.
Forest Hills Special Ed Co-op - Social workers who provide social and behavioral services to children and youth with disabilities in the Spencer-Owen school district. Forest Hills social workers also direct an alternative-for-suspension program for first through sixth graders called the “Turn About Program” and are involved with a similar program for middle and high school students called the “Phoenix Project”.

Hamilton Center - Community mental health center providing emergency, community-based, group, and individual mental health services in the Spencer and Owen County area.
Head Start - Program serves low income children, ages 3-5, and their families in a holistic way in order to assist in the early educational and development readiness for children to succeed in kindergarten.
Hospice of Bloomington Hospital - Home based interdisciplinary support approach to persons who are nearing the end of their life and have accepted a plan for comfort care.

Martha's House - Emergency shelter and case management program for persons experiencing homelessness including both individuals and families.
Middle Way House/The Rise - Agency serving and advocating on behalf of victims of domestic violence. Provides emergency crisis shelter and transitional housing, legal advocacy, crisis hotline, and many other programs in 5 counties to serve women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
Monroe County Community School Corporation - Elementary, middle, and high schools serving the Bloomington and Monroe County area. Each school has a school social worker responding to the psychological and social challenges of children, youth, and families.
Owen Valley Alternative School - Alternative high school providing social services to assist students working to complete a high school degree.
Positive Link - Care coordination unit that provides testing, counseling, and care coordination to those living with HIV and AIDS.
Shalom Community Center - Day community center providing meals and social services to persons experiencing homelessness or challenged by mental health, addiction, and poverty. Case workers focus on assisting with basic and emergency needs.
Stepping Stones - Emergency and life skills training and residential program serving young adults ages 16-21 who are experiencing homelessness or who have aged out of the foster care system.
Stonebelt Center/Healthy Families - Agency serving persons with disabilities across the life span through early intervention, vocational, life skills, and residential support and advocacy. Healthy Families focuses on serving at-risk families with an infant age 0-3 and providing educational and social home based services.
Transitions Program - Social work program providing home based case management to persons with persistent and disabling illnesses who do not meet criteria for home health or hospice care
21st Century Scholars Program - Program seeking to support and interest low income, middle-school aged youth in succeeding academically and planning to attend college. Serves several county school districts.
The Villages - Agency providing home based foster care support, supervised visitations, and home assessments for children who are survivors of child abuse and neglect; provides services focused on children who are in the foster care system for long periods of time and who may be adopted.
